It was a PINK OUT in Avondale… dozens of women dressed in Barbie pink drink for good in support of the Clara White Mission. More than $600 was raised at the fundraiser. The women were inspired by the highly anticipated Barbie movie and wanted to show their Duval pride by raising awareness about homelessness and hunger in Jacksonville. The event was a collaboration between Kathryn’s Wines, Tenley Deitrich and Natalie Soud.
Everyone there got tickets to see the Barbie movie at Sun-Ray Cinemas Saturday night. They also got Barbie inspired goodies like pink heart sunnies, a Barbie hair clip, pink doughnuts provided by local bakery, Good Dough, and a selection of natural wines that matched the pink theme.
Ju’Coby Pittman, CEO of the Clara White Mission joined the event to thank everyone for their support. She presented an award to Kathryn’s Wines for being an ambassador for the Mission and advocating for hunger relief and solutions to the homelessness crisis.
You can support the Clara White Mission when you join Kathryn’s Drink for Good Wine club. Proceeds from every wine club subscription goes directly to the Clara White Mission. To get involved with the Clara White Mission you can volunteer by signing up on Eventbrite.
Tenley Dietrich is a clothing boutique offering novelty items and women’s clothing. She has a limited edition custom made Barbie Pink Duval sweatshirt in stock fans of the Babrbie movie. The sweatshirt was made by local designer Natalie Soud and can be purchased in store and online for $88. A portion of the proceeds will also go to the Clara White Mission.
